Experience
Kathy Lien is a graduate of NYU Stern School of Business and began her career on Wall Street at age 18, with a special focus on currencies.
She first worked at JPMorgan Chase, making markets on the interbank foreign exchange (FX) trading desk. She later joined JPMorgan's cross-market proprietary trading group, trading FX spot, options, interest rate derivatives, bonds, equities and futures.
In 2003, Kathy joined FXCM and founded DailyFX.com, a leading online FX research portal. As Chief Strategist, Kathy manages a team of analysts dedicated to providing research and commentary on the FX markets.
In 2007, Kathy Lien and Boris Schlossberg co-founded BKForex Advisors LLC, a company that provides forex trading signals to paying subscribers. The firm's discretionary strategy combines macroeconomic views with technical analysis and takes short- and medium-term positions in G20 currencies.
In 2008, Kathy joined Global Futures & Forex Ltd as Director of Currency Research, providing research and analysis to clients and managing the global FX analysis team.
In 2012, Kathy and Boris announced the launch of a Forex Managed Account service as BKForex LLC, a commodity trading advisor registered with the National Futures Association and a boutique Forex research and advisory firm.
Currently, Kathy serves as Managing Director of FX Strategy at BK Asset Management in New York City. BK Asset Management is a subsidiary of BKForex Advisors LLC
