The Group of Fifteen (G15) was established in September 1989 at the Ninth Summit of Non-Aligned Countries in what was then Belgrade, Yugoslavia.

It is made up of countries from Latin America, Africa and Asia with a common goal of promoting growth and prosperity.

G15 focuses on cooperation among developing countries in investment, trade, technology and other fields.

G15 members have expanded to 17 countries, but the name has not changed.
