Rekt

REKT (or rekt) is a misspelling of "wrecked".

“Getting rekt” refers to a cryptocurrency trader who is completely bankrupt due to losses caused by the recent price collapse.

Rekt happens when cryptocurrency traders get swept up in FOMO and end up falling victim to the pump and dump. You will feel disgusted.

For example, let’s say you put more of your savings into DOGE after its price spiked due to a tweet from Elon Musk.

One day later, the price of DOGE plummets to less than 50% of the previous day’s value because the crypto whales decided to sell and you are now a bag holder. In this case, you get REKT.

This slang comes from the online gaming world and means "losing badly."
