When it comes to trading, the term “handle” has two meanings, depending on which market you are referring to.

How to use the controller in FX

In Forex, it refers to the part of the quote that you see in the bid and ask prices.

For example, if the bid price for EUR/USD was 1.1050 (ask price) and the ask price was 1.1052 (bid price), the handle would be 1.10.

Handle in FX

In the stock market, the handle is also known as "Big Picture" or "Big Picture".

Using handles is a faster way to reference an asset's price at a specific point in time.

This is a verbal shortcut.

When a trader knows what the handle of a specific quote is, there is no need to tell the entire complete quote when talking to other traders.
